Strong concept. I feel like this would very much benefit from having some light fantasy/theming applied to it (even if you just build an arena of ragdolls around that to cheer them on). The chaos is fun for a bit, to keep it fun long term I wonder what you could to actually make this feel a bit more strategic. Some rock-paper-scissor like counters would be nice. Also slowing the fights down a bit so that you can follow and understand the chaos a bit more could be neat for that.
spears are really over powered
i see the potential.
Like "Toribashi" & "TABS" and then mixed with a rouge like team auto battler loop like in "Dwarves, death loot and glory". But i think it needs to become a bit more predictable, or that you can retreat from battle like in dwarves if you see it going down the drain.
I recked everyone in1st try with my gang having spears on the feet and shields in their faces . I found it hilarious that i was able to do that LOL
I also once made a ragdoll based game, if you want to check it out:
Real Guys Wear Ties by jacasch
indeed very chaotic, 10/10
this is actually so good omg
ive never seen anything like this
Pro: Funny, chaotic, was chuckling the whole time
Con: Everything seems to be pretty random. Attack speed, collisions, effects of hits. Also armor seems to be a bad investment currently.
Overall: Good potential! Love the chaotic energy of "yeah sure, equip a shield to your head"
(Meta: Knee Spear FTW)
The ragdoll physics are funny as hell, the unpredictability of them less so. At least in a game about somewhat strategic thinking to overpower an opponent. I for one had to retry the first round three times until I was I guess lucky enough to win (the amount of gear I had acquired definitely played a role too of course).
